Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

I debated whether or not to take a picture of my hairbrush this morning after I blow-dried my hair, but it reminded me too much of a really wierd exhibit our high school had to go to at the Kohler Art Gallery once. The reason I wanted a picture was because I've been really shocked lately at how much hair I've been losing. I've always had really thick hair and I was so proud of myself that it didn't fall out after Luke was born. Well, they say pride goeth before a fall and the hair is definitely falling! It's coming out in clumps and I find hair everywhere - Luke always has a few strands wrapped around his little fingers. A friend told me that it's typical for it to start falling out around 4 months postpartum. I guess I've hit that mark.

Now I know why women get the "mommy cut" after their babies are born. I think I'll stick to growing it out, though. Maybe I can wrap it around my head like a comb-over if too much comes out.

I remember when you guys came home from the exhibit at Kohler Arts - you were pretty freaked out by some of the wierd stuff people had made out of hair. Hopefully yours will come back --at least it may be easier to dry this way--have to look for the bright side.
