The preferred perch on which to play with the new Match Box cars:
Saturday night the boys both got haircuts. Alec's turned out fine; I'm trying not to look too closely at Luke's. He's so wiggly and then he gets itchy and that's it. There are a few places I'd like to trim up but it can wait.
Sunday morning Luke looked so cute in his church clothes I had to take a picture. He's playing with bath toys he found in the closet:
Sunday evening we had a potluck meal with our parish group. Our elder and his wife are grandparent-aged and bought little toys for the 5 or 6 kids in our group. Luke got ANOTHER MatchBox car along with a little piece of track and a "crash test" thingy. His fingers aren't strong enough to click the piece back that is spring-loaded so any time he wants to play with it I have to help (thanks a lot!). He enjoyed having yet another car and we found a little plastic box we had that all the cars fit into.
Remember how I said Luke was a neat-nick and only played with one car at a time? Well, here's some evidence that he is still all boy:
This is what the floor looked like after he took the cars out one by one and threw them on the floor. He did not pick them up un-prompted.

I think the haircut looks great! And I love the church outfit. He's looking so grown up! I know I say that all the time, but it's true.
great haircuts and you are right toys that you have to help them play with are the worst.
Now it is matchbox cars on the floor but in a couple of years it will be plastic barbie shoes and accessories, polly pockets, and all the things girl~
