Today - in a few pictures

I realize that I have been delinquent in posting anything new here. I thought a couple pictures might be a good change.

The kids played nicely for most of the day today - a treat as they are so hot and cold with each other right now. They played outside almost all afternoon, then had to have baths around 4 because they were both covered in sidewalk chalk and had sand in their hair. After baths they played with play dough for at least an hour - and I am not exaggerating. It was very nice and I got the dishes all washed and laundry folded.

After their baths, I French braided Erin's hair for the first time. She was occupied and the hair was wet so I thought I would give it a try. Her hair is so fine that it doesn't stay braided if I try it when it is dry, but it held OK this time - except for the regular little wisps that always come loose around her face (and lately have been crusted to her cheeks because of her cold - the sleeve is a handy tissue, you know).

I think the reason they sat and played for so long is that they were listening to a book on CD. I am definitely getting another at the library tomorrow! Keeps 'em quiet in the car, too.

It's clothesline season again! And yes, I do hang out the undies and socks, although I draw the line at bath towels. Too scratchy.

Ah Katie- like a breath of fresh air! I love the braid, the clothesline... all of it. Thanks for reminding me that there is "home" on the other end of our moving-chaos right now! blessings to all of you!

Great to see new pictures! Everything looks beautiful in your yard -- so green and fresh. I sure wish I could hang a clothesline. I just lay it all out around the house and on my Ikea rack!

Oh, one more thing. My friend Kristy has just brought home a new daughter from Korea, and is having a hard time finding barrettes that stay in her fine and straight hair. Could I purchase a few of those great barrettes you make for Erin that actually stay in? Flowers, butterflies,, etc. would all be nice. Let me know!

What book were they listening to on CD? My kids LOVE listening to recorded books, and we are always looking for new ones to try. :-)

Grandma loves the beautiful braided hair and the happy children!! I also love Luke's handwritten card that I got this week. He is doing just great with letter formation! There must be teacher's in his life.
