Erin. Attention span. See how I didn't use the 2 in the same sentence? She is all go, go, go. However, I made a point to cultivate in her a love for books and a willingness to sit still while she is read to. It's not like Luke, but then again they're not the same person, are they?
I think what has helped her the most is her intense desire to be like and do whatever her big brother is doing. When he sits to read, so does she. I often find them sitting together looking at books (when they're not fighting, but come on - they're 3 and 5).
I took these pictures back in February but I hadn't shared them yet. We've since put away the fleece, but we still get about 50 books from the library every week.
Now, the other thing that Erin does that is just like her big brother is wear underpants. All the time. Hooray! She also likes to go without clothes like he often does (gets his high body temp from his daddy). I took these pictures last month. Alec was at a deacon's meeting and I went into the office for a few minutes to check email. I came out and they were semi-streaking. There was about 3 feet of snow on the ground outside, but did they care?
By the way, someone named Mary commented on my last post and I'd like to answer her question but I have no idea who she is. Wanna step into the light?
