The rest of the story

Well, both babies slept for about an hour and a half, which worked out nicely. I had time to feed V her lunch before Luke woke up and ate his. Then we went for a walk with the double stroller.

Luke had a high old time playing with V's hair and hood. She didn't seem to mind. We went to the park first and played on the swings. I wish I had brought my camera because they were so cute - just grinned and giggled the whole time. Then we went to the lake and walked out onto the floating fishing dock. The Canada geese were making a ruckus across the lake and then 2 swam right up next to us. Luke went crazy, but V was more interested in the airplane sounds and the train going by.

When we got home, they played some more.

I got this little table out because V stands up by herself. Of course, Luke wanted to play with it, too, but I've decided to put it in the corner for a while. He can't stand up yet so he pulls it over onto himself. A big double whammy since he bangs his head on the floor when he falls and then the top part (which comes off and flips over) lands on his head. He did this twice today, the second time around 1:45 when they were both ready for another nap. I had about 10 minutes of 2 crying babies and then the mommy came back and we were good.

Dude, we have the same hand-me-down toys! We have that table, too ... came from my little cousins. I'm putting the latest Fisher-Price "learning table" on Gabe's Christmas list. It LIGHTS UP and MAKES NOISE. OOOH. Like we need more noise around here.

Gabriel bumps his head at least 3 times a day. I'm amazed at his resiliency in the face of danger-disguised-as-a-preschooler.

Sounds like you handled the two kiddos just great! Way to go.

I'm guessing from the weather sites that you don't need the sweatshirts today. We're having a beautiful fall day - warm and dry with lots of sunshine. Luke looks so cute in that little striped sweater! Can't wait to see him crawling. Well, back to my cleaning, I'm trying to follow a few flylady principles today.
