Toddlers CAN memorize!

Luke moved up to a new nursery room last Sunday. It was the start of a new quarter and he turns 2 during this one. It's a little different because they actually have a little lesson and craft.

We've been using the Sunday School paper at bedtime to learn some verses and early catechism questions. I was doubtful how he would do with it, but today while he was eating his goldfish crackers he said out of the blue, "Glory highest." The verse is, "Glory to God in the highest!" I was surprised, so I asked him the first catechism question: "Who made you?" He didn't get it, but repeated it after me - "God." Then I asked the second one: "What else did God make?" and he replied, "All things." Just 2 minutes ago I asked again and he said the answers to both.

Of course, he also repeated me yesterday in the car when I said, "Come on, lady! Move!" So I guess I'd better do what the old Sunday Song says and "Oh, be careful, little tongue, what you say!"

Yay Luke!

I hear a lot of "Go! Go! Go!" from the backseat when I'm driving. I finally figured out that it's not ME they're talking to, but the other drivers because, um, I tend to say that. (sheepish look)

Matthew 12:34b & 35a says that "...out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him..." I can't think of better things to fill him with, Kate. Excellent!
