"Bwoken, Mommy"

Yesterday when I went to get Luke up from his nap, he greeted me by saying, "Bwoken, Mommy." I didn't know what he was talking about until I saw this:

Do you know what that is? It fits here:

Apparently he got bored, found a little edge on the paper, and started peeling. AAAHHHHH! It was brand new! He's only been in there for 2 weeks! Of course, I guess it wasn't very smart for us to put him right at the height of the paper, but we hadn't anticipated that. Obviously. Oh well, what can we do. No, there are no leftovers - we used the whole roll.

In other news . . .

Luke is starting to warm up to Erin a little. He finds all of her noises hilarious and mimics them (also hilarious). Yesterday he got up on the trundle bed in the family room where she was laying and looked at her a little more closely.

He's also showing a little bit of normal jealousy as well. Last night he woke up again around 11:30 and was quite upset when I couldn't snuggle him because I had to feed Erin. We finally calmed him down by all 4 of us lying on our bed so I could nurse and read at the same time. It worked, but I hope it doesn't happen again.

Oh no! That little stinker! Can I buy another roll and fix it next week? How frustrating. Glad to see him opening up to Erin more though!

I remember something like that about 29 years ago. Crayons hidden behind the fireplace and also some very gentle scribbling with a pencil on the wallpaper in your bedroom. Luke is not only exploring his room but also his relationships. He'll find his new place soon enough. Love the pics of the 2 kids!

What beautiful grandchildren we see in your pictures. Erin's dark hair is such a surprise. Can't wait to hug them both. Remind me to tell you how Alec ate his window sills at 2 1/2 - 3. Be thankful that Luke just peels the paper.
