"No talking!"

Lately Luke has been crying about 1/2 hour after he goes to bed (he doesn't cry for 1/2 an hour - he goes down and then a 1/2 hour later he fusses). Usually we just go up and lay with him for a minute or two and then he's fine. Sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night for a repeat performance. It's getting annoying.

A few weeks ago for one of the midnight snuggles, I fell asleep. I awoke to Luke poking my face and saying, "Get out, Mommy." Tonight I went up again. As soon as I opened the door he stopped crying and said in a completely normal voice, "What is that?" He was pointing to the light on the wall coming from the street light through the window. It's there every night! I laid down with him, got him settled, and whispered, "I love you." He whispered it back to me and then said, "No talking."

What a bossy kid.

Here are some pictures from our friends' party on Saturday night. It was a Doce de Mayo party (they always have it a little late so it's not the same day as Berwyn Heights Day), hence the pinata.

This is our neighbor, Donna. Luke loves her and her husband Matt. He calls them Domatt.

He had lots of fun swinging at the pinata. Later after it was opened, he played with the string, raising and lowering the pinata for a good half hour.

And here's me with my little girl on our first Mother's Day together.

How sweet - looks like you're having some nice weather to be outside. Save some for when we come!
