So I tried the Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe from the "Deceptively Delicious" cookbook. Bleah. The kids eat them but I'll stick to something that doesn't have CHICKPEAS in it. Yeah, you read that right. I was skeptical while making them, so maybe that pre-judged my opinion of them, but you really can taste them and I'd just rather not.
Here is a picture of what kids can do with a big sewing machine box. It's like a big kid playpen for Erin because she can't climb out by herself.
Tomorrow I'll post some pictures of the actual machine and some of the things I've been doing with it.

I love the fact that Erin is intensely reading her book, upside-down!
I love the next generation of readers! Why couldn't the parents of my current students have a big box for their kids to read in when they were little?!?
Chickpeas belong in hummus - not cookies. :) Thanks for the compliment for Hadley! She is going to be 2 October 23. Time flies!
Chickpeas? Whoa! I agree with you without even trying the recipe. By the way, I've been making my own chocolate chip cookies for the last 2 batches, which would be about a month. I'm taking over for your mom because I'm pretty much the only one who eats them...and then I put extra chips in the batter!
