This is a little scattered, but I haven't blogged for a few days and now I have a bunch of pictures.
Here's Luke and our friend on Wednesday night. Alec went with the guys to the Os/Yankees game so the wives went out to supper. We went to downtown Silver Spring, which has been renovated within the past few years and is a nice place now to go and walk around. Lots of restaurants and shops and a big open area with (fake) grass for a park-like atomosphere - albeit metropolitan with the buses and cars zooming by on all sides! I had a great burrito from Baja Fresh and Luke had his baby food with a dessert of spoon.
Friday morning we had mom's group here since our normal hostess had to go on a field trip with her preschooler. We had one toddler, 3 babies Luke's age and one 3-month-old. There were toys everywhere!
Here's Luke and his friend, Brooke (22 days older than Luke). She is busy, busy, busy and he had just woken up from his nap.
Here's my new friend from church and her little girl, Abigail. She's four days older than Luke.
Here's Luke modeling my latest sewing acomplishment. Last year, before he was even born, I bought some fabric on sale after Christmas with the intention of making some overalls. I finally did. They're corduroy and a little big, so I think they may actually fit when I want them to! I liked them so much that I bought some more fabric to make another pair - flannel with trucks on it. I'll post a picture when I'm finished.
On a side note, Luke has a nasty cold. I'm tired of holding his arms down to suction him with the blue bulb syringe - and he is too. Poor kid. I can hear him breathing in his sleep right now over the monitor. The last few nights have been tough. However, you sure can't tell from the next picture! He sure is a happy kid.
Yes, that's Curious George in his lap. I can't keep them all for myself anymore!
And, lastly, here are some better pictures of the new (old) Ford for Bob and other old car enthusiasts:
Well, I think that's it for now.

Great pictures and story, Kate! Thanks for keeping us up-to-date. Beautiful outfit you made for Luke. We're really looking forward to our visit in 1 1/2 weeks!
