I'm back!

Well, after almost 2 weeks without an internet connection, I am finally able to post and check up on everyone else. I don't want to go into details, but after an electrical storm put our DSL out of commission last Monday I have learned that "customer service" is a misnomer. "Service" my butt! We got the run-around for days on end and today, when 2 separate phone companies had to come at the same time just to figure it out, it turned out that the storm had indeed knocked something out AT THE MAIN HEADQUARTERS and merely needed to be reset. Why couldn't they have listened to me last Tuesday instead of blaming me for hooking up my system incorrectly (which has worked just fine for the past year hooked up this way!)? GRRRRR.

Anyway, it just took me an hour to read through all the blog posts I've missed (thank you, Odd Mix, again for BlogBridge - it would have taken a lot longer without it) and now I'm ready to give everyone their Luke fix. We'll start you off with a little video - a special treat for waiting so long.

Video Hosting - Upload Video - Video Sharing

I got this little inflatable pool at the grocery store for $6.99. I think it will end up in the backyard, but for now Luke likes playing with the balls it came with and pushing the whole thing around the house (looking a little like those old-fashioned pictures you see of little girls rolling hoops with sticks). And, of course, he'd rather sit in it when it is upside-down, as you saw in the video.

The other day I walked into the office to find this:

Luke likes to watch the screen saver. We have a Marine Aquarium screen saver that is pretty cool - complete with bubble sounds, light that changes throughout a half hour "day," and a moving sea star that can look like it's climbing the glass. The only problem is Luke also likes to climb up on the desk and sometimes gets into trouble up there, clicking the mouse, etc.

I'll post some more pictures tomorrow, but I don't want to overload everyone on the first day back!

Yea! I'm glad you got things figured out. We miss not seeing new pictures of Luke!

I think that's going to be $6.99 well spent! We're you thinking you might need the turtle to float through the flood waters? How close did that all come to you?

That was pretty cute! I can't wait to come swimming with him--though I'm pretty sure we won't both fit in the pool.
