This morning Luke helped me bake some cookies. Then we had a warm one for our 10 am tea time. He really got into it.
I didn't write this yesterday because I was afraid it was a fluke (which it still may be) but Erin decided to drop her midnight feeding. To the day she was 3 months old. Sunday night she slept from 9:30 to 6:45 and last night it was 9:45 to 8. I'm hoping this is the new norm. The first time I woke up soaking so last night I pumped before I went to bed. I was still a little uncomfortable this morning, but Erin was so hungry she helped me out quickly.
I think this may have happened because I have been more conscious of her schedule after we had a really bad evening last week. I'm making sure she naps enough and goes to bed a little earlier than she had been - I think she couldn't relax and fall asleep because she was too tired. She has a definite fussy time and struggles for about 5 minutes before she falls asleep and then she sleeps really well. Lately she has been taking more naps in her crib, too, and seems to fall asleep better when I rock her for a minute or 2 and then lay her down - she falls asleep by herself.
Here she is on her second nap of the day:

Your kids are so cute! And Luke looks like there's some mischief in his eye in that picture. I would enjoy a chocolate cookie myself!
i hope you knocked on wood while you wrote this!
Just back from our Columbia River Cruise. Learned a lot about Lewis and Clark (amazing people at that time in history). I missed having the laptop so am catching up. The kids are adorable -- at least from this place. Icky diapers will give way to something else down the line. Much love, Sharon
