Tonight we had Robin and Julie over, some friends that we don't get to see very often. They brought their grandson who is 3 1/2 and he and Luke played with all the new cars and toys.
Robin has the magic touch with babies. Erin is in a very clingy phase and cries if I'm in the room and not holding her. She sat by Robin for a long time and even put her head on his shoulder to snuggle him for a bit. I think she was pretty tired, but still . . . she didn't cry once.
That picture reminded me of Luke's first Thanksgiving, which we spent with Robin and Julie at the Brockman's. Luke was about the same age as Erin is now and he had a good time with Robin then, too. That old post also reminds me that Erin is climbing up and down the family room step now, just like Luke was learning to do then.
OK, back from that little side trip. Luke finished opening his presents (with some help from his little friend - Luke didn't care).
He got a very nice piggy, er, fire-trucky bank from Auntie Em.
He's now in bed with a whopper of a cold. I hope he sleeps better tonight than he did last night, but he's pretty stuffed up and has a bit of a cough. We'll see about church tomorrow. I hate staying home, but I'd rather not sit with him in church - he can't go to nursery like this and he doesn't sit still very well through the service.

Happy Birthday Luke! I'm glad you found some great toys and could play with your friends! You look so grown up, it's amazing. Hope you get over your cold soon!
Katie - Tell me again how to get pictures off your blog. I tried to do a copy and paste and it's too grainy. I know I should be able to get them from flicker, but I don't remember how.
