Sinterklaas Day

It wasn't done on purpose, but this year we put up our Christmas tree on Sinterklaas Day. We picked a pretty small one and I had ideas of the kids helping to decorate, but we ended up waiting until Erin was taking her nap. She is just too rambunctious. Luke helped a little and so far nothing has broken or been taken off (except Erin peeled all the little foam stars off their CBS ornaments from this year, but oh well).

After setting up the tree, the kids had an early bath and we got out their new Christmas jammies. They had fun running around and looking at all the decorations.

We also hauled out the singing Christmas dog that Aunt Suzi sent a couple years ago. Erin had the same kind of reaction Luke had at seeing it the first time. When she sticks out her tongue like that it's because she's a little shy and doesn't know what to do.

Thankfully, the battery on it has died. I'm a little tired of "Let it Snow."
