Tonight I finished Luke's quilt. I couldn't remember when I started it, it's been so long. After looking through old blog posts I figured out that I made the first block on October 14, 2006! I made the last block on January 6 2007, and put the layers together on February 24. So I took almost exactly a year to quilt the darn thing - and mom did most of it!
Anyway, it looks really good and Luke likes it. I finished it right before he went to bed so I ran up and put it on quick.
And here it is with all his paraphernalia on it.
He had fun pointing to all the different vehicles and naming them. And then smiled after crawling under.

Today Erin crawled into the kitchen while I was getting supper ready. She went under the chair and it reminded me of Luke in this picture, minus the sweater.
And of course, once I got the camera out and started taking pictures, Luke had to get into the action, too!

Yeah - you can check that project off your list!! The pictures are just too cute. Thanks for sharing. The kids look pretty healthy in the pictures -sleeping better?
Love the quilt! And the kids.
So cute! I can't believe you made it!
Love the quilt! I tried to look closer but flickr won't give me access. Did you hand-quilt it? I have a Christmas pattern called Antique Christmas Toys that you would probably love - the blocks are big like your trucks. MomHOP
Hi Katie,
Enjoyed seeing pics of your family on your blog and I couldn't help but comment when I got to the one with your quilt! It is AMAZING!!! So what is Erin's going to look like?! :)
I know you're thinking a year was a long time, but I'm AMAZED you did it in a year. That would take me a LIFETIME!! It is beautiful! Great job!
Love,
